Large Pack or Small Pack?

Posted by: myrobert

We’ve also been conditioned that buying larger packs is cheaper than buying the smaller packs. Take example the shampoo. The myth is that buying the bigger bottles is cheaper than buying sachets.

Truth of the matter is that it is sometimes cheaper to buy sachets than big packs. This I have proven in buying laundry detergents and condiments like soy sauce and vinegars. Try buying Surf detergents, it is cheaper to buy the small pack than buy the one kilo bag. You can compute this by determining the price per gram of the detergent.

Now who says bigger is cheaper?

Falling, Falling Interest Rates

Posted by: myrobert

Interest rates have fallen to their lowest level since I was born. Seeing the ad of PS Bank, the highest interest rates for a time deposit now is 3.75% for a Php 5 million placement!

While falling interest rates are bad for us ordinary citizens, its a blessing if you plan on getting a bank loan. Interest rates for car loan is just about 6% while real estate loan goes for as low as 9%. And with banks agreeing to fix interest rates for up to 20 years, there’s no better way than to borrow now!
