Globelines Useless Online Application

Posted by: myrobert

The Internet is supposed to make things convenient. Just like in the case of Globelines, you can apply for a phone through their online application form.

OnlineĀ initiatives becomes useless when there is no one to process the application. It seems that the online applications just goes to a system that no one checks.

After applying for a landline four weeks ago, Globe’s customer service can not find my application even if I have a tracking number. Now, that’s bad customer service!

Tele Pwede is not so cheap after all

Posted by: myrobert

It used to be called Tele Sulit. Then Tele Tipid. Now its called Tele Pwede.

PLDT has been experimenting with their pre-paid landline service that they have to change terms and conditions several times. It used to be Php 500 good for 2 months, unlimited incoming calls and outgoing at 75 cents a minute.

The new Tele Pwede, while more feature rich cost Php 115 just to have incoming services. Add to that, the pre-paid loads disappear without notice! With the new PLDT scheme, your monthly spending would probably be Php 300.

Ace Hardware, Handyman, DIY

Posted by: myrobert

I used to think that mall based hardware are expensive and that its better to buy from your nearby hardware store. Well, not true most of the time. In small items such as brush, paints, electrical, it is cheaper to buy it from the mall based hardware. Besides, Ace, Handyman and DIY offers 7 day exchange. With Ace hardware, you can even return items bought from one branch to another.

That’s my tip for the day!

Got Credit Card? Don’t Pay the Minimum Amount

Posted by: myrobert

The minimum amount you pay to credit card companies has been designed inĀ favor of the card company. The usual minimum amount you have to pay is 5%. With a Php 10,000 bill, that translates to Php 500 a month.

The minimum amount due is deceptive though. It will take you 34 months to pay off the Php 10,000 bill if you just pay Php 500 a month. Your interest would be in the range of Php 6,000.

So next time, try to pay off as much as you can!
