PLDT Plan 990

It took me over a month before PLDT approved my Plan 990 phone and DSL bundle application. By the time you are reading this, the promo has been discontinued and replaced with Plan 999 (without the phone bundle).

The Plan 990 was not advertised to the public. What was heaviy promoted is the Plan 888. The Plan 888 however is confusing. The PLDT customer service can not agree whether its up to 88kbps or 188 kbps. At 88kbps, it just like a dial up!

Plan 990 is up to 384 kpbs. I checked with www.speedtest.net and I get a consistend speed of around 300kbps. The speed is just enough to listen to online music, watch Youtube or use Skype.

    i just got my the plan 990 but the speed is so poor.. i got 50 kbps in both upload and download… do you know what could be the problem?

    ung sa kin ang bagl..prang dial-up lang..gnun ba minsan?

    Ok naman yung speed ng plan ko. It’s been installed for nearly a year and so far I am ok with the speed. It’s probably hitting 200 to 300 kbps.

    peude ho bang magtanong? kasi we already have a landline, so balak namin mag apply for PLDT PLAN 990. do I need to disconnect our previous line ba para lang maka subscribe ng new PLAN 990? kasi nga we already have one… eh gusto namin isa na lng….

    You can call 171 and inquire. By the way, the speed I am getting now is 400+ kbps download. 100+ upload based on www.speedtest.net

    ang plan ng pldt ok sa ibang area pero pede maging nightmare sa isang tao. imagine 1 year lock in period? e pano kung ayaw mo na magbabayad ka pa. syempre business yan pero pano kung kapos sa pera ang ibang tao di ba?

    i dont recommend pldt dsl.
    reason: yung e-vat hindi nila nilagay ng malinaw sa advertisement at yung lock-in period is so so so so so much!

    Are there any decent DSL services in our country?? Got bad experience with Smart Bro and had it disconnected after a year lock down. Nag tiis din ako dun ah. No joke!! Now I’m having an agonizingly slow Bayantel and planning to have it nuked soon before I lose all my patience. I was researching about the PLDT package but I get all these pretty bad feedbacks instead. Haaay!! Parepareho yata lahat mga ito. Poor services. Cheap marketing schemes. Kawawa ang consumers.

    Dati bayantel user ako plan 899(DSL only). Okay nmn ang speed, speed is to 384 + Speed on Demand(SOD) promo nila mula 10pm to 10am for 2 years, umaabot tuloy ng 768 kbps.

    Pero nakita ng brother ko ung promo ng PLDT n plan 990, and un nga nag-subscribe kami.

    Then we waited 3 weeks bago ma-activate ung DSL sa Plan 990…Isa pang problema gumagana n ung DSL while may Telephone service was still pending..Isa p pala ung Speed umaabot lng ng 100-150 kbps umaabot tuloy ng weeks ang isang 1G download file ko. Kainis

    Sana tanggalin n lng nila itong plan n toh daming naloloko. 384kbps daw eh umaabot lng saken ng 150 kbps.

    Darryl d mo talaga makukuha ang 384kbps depende kasi un kung marami kayu sa lugar nyo na naka plan 990.
