Learn Food Manufacturing at Cebu Food Expo 2009!

Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino will be the venue for the Cebu Food Expo 2009.

The event will also celebrate the 10th International Exhibition on Food and Beverages, Packaging and Processing Technology, Bakery Equipment and Ingredients, Confectionery, Franchising and Business Opportunities that will happen on July 9-11, 2009 at the Waterfront Hotel in Cebu City.

Aside from the Food Expo, Manufacturing Technology Cebu 2009 will also be conducted on the same date and venue (July 9-11, Waterfront Hotel)

Tourism Act of 2009: Invest in Tourism Now!

People nowadays are wise in terms of investing their money. We are in the midst of global crisis but there are still some who wanna take some risk and still choose to invest in business or property. But if you want a stable business, why not try to invest your money in Tourism?

The country is surrounded with beautiful beaches and landscapes that are good for business.  Foreign investors sees good future in RP’s Tourism, in fact most of the famous hotels and resorts here are owned by Foreign nationals.

If foreign investors find our tourism a good source of income, then we can’t just let them invest in what is supposed to be ‘ours’ right?

The government are encouraging local businessman to invest in tourism this was after the “Toursm Act of 2009″ has been signed. The new law hopes to capitalize assets to harness torism as harness as an engine for economic growth.

The law also features the creation of Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZ) which will which will designate, regulate and supervise the Tourism Enterprise Zones (TEZs) established under this Act.

Though investing in tourism means laying down a lot of money, specialist says that its worth it. especially during Summer.

RP fastest growing bond issuer in Asia

Both government and private firms combined Php331 billion amount of bonds in the first quarter among neighboring countries in Asia, ADB reported.

The government hasd issued p298 billion amount of bonds while the private sectors had sold P33 billion.

Both government and private firms became more aggressive in tapping the capital markets to make higher expenditures.

Other Asian countries which also has high increase in bond issues are, Hong Kong (93.1%), South Korea  (38.4%), Thailand (36.7%) and Singapore (11.2%)
